Assembly units to mount taps in the surrounding of the bathtub
Whether in a new building or during a renovation - faucet fittings mounted visible are considered to be an ugly thing more and more. Thus, the tile bank assemblage beside or at the foot of the bath tub wins increasing eminence mainly at do-it-yourselfers: It is less complex to realise and therefore mostly less expensive than the common in-wall assembly, and still looks fine. Furthermore, the shower hose of the hand shower disappears completely in the base frame when it is not needed - that's a looker and makes cleaning very easy, too!
But especially hobby craftsmen do often underestimate how solid the tile bank must be constructed in order to resist the daily loads - the consequences are loose or broken tiles around the faucet fittings. And they are also often not worried about the safety, too, as the hidden assembly of the fittings of course entails the risk of an invisible water damage - which can result in a lot of trouble; not to mention expensive repairs.
In order to avoid these probelems, do-it-yourselfers should take a closer look at the assembly unit SW 505!
The solid base frame made of metal is height adjustable and is fixed in the ground with dowels. The integrated collection container for splash water (e.g. through the shower hose grommet) is connected with the overfall of the bath tub via a tee branch and thus offers sufficient safety against water damages even with an untight faucet fitting. The faucet installation system is assembled in the robust plastic mounting plate and is adjusted perfectly plane to the casing via the integrated levelling; finally, this is tiled using silicone glue.
To accomplish this task neither needs special know how nor specific tools, and almost all available bath tub border faucet fittings from 3- up to 5-holes of most faucet producers can be assembled. Indeed, similar faucet installation systems are used in trade or in public organisations as so-called high-speed assembly systems - but they are not only much more expensive, but also bound to certain faucet fittings of the same manufacturer! Therefore, in spite of the evident advantages, installers do not often offer such solutions to private end customers, as, apart from the price, the range of available producers and models simply would be too limited.
In contrast to those, the universal assembly unit SW 505 makes this convenient technology affordable for the do-it-yourselfer: It allows a trouble-free, solid and above all safe assembly of almost every faucet fitting - and can, compared to a tinker solution, save a lot of trouble and money!
